In this role, the accountant will construct routine spreadsheet applications to prepare financial data for input into the finance system. They will assist in preparing, reconciling, balancing, and maintaining accounting records for the balance sheet and other relevant accounts. Key responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, entering data into the finance system, and reviewing expenditure transaction data to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles. The accountant will also be responsible for distributing monthly reports and supporting department administrative assistants, as well as developing proficiency in the college's software systems. Additionally, the accountant will serve as an aid in various detailed reconciliations, assist in audits and audit paperwork preparation, and participate in local, state, and federal government reporting.
