About The Position

ProNexus, LLC is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their firm, offering the opportunity to work with diverse clients and tackle challenging projects in accounting and finance. The Accountant will manage complex accounting tasks, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide strategic financial guidance, collaborating with management teams to optimize processes and drive financial performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (ERP systems, Excel, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree or CPA preferred.
• Experience in system implementations preferred.
• Experience in a customer service role / client facing, public accounting, consulting or advisory roles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Establish and maintain internal control procedures to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate existing accounting processes, systems, and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Assist in the development and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with management teams.
• Communicate financial results, analysis, and recommendations effectively to executive management and stakeholders.
