About The Position
Central Virginia Community College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs. This position provides Academic and Financial Services to support the educational purposes of the College. Serves as accountant for Foundation funds by establishing accounting structure in fund accounting database and recording financial transactions consistent with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Prepare related daily, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports with limited supervisor and/or oversight. Serves as accountant for grant funds by establishing accounts to track grant expenses, monitoring for appropriateness and completing a variety of financial reports to reimburse the college. Serve in support capacity for enrollment cancellation process and support business office staff. Special Assignments may be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
