About The Position

We are currently looking for an Accountant for a great work from home opportunity. This position is 100% Remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred GPA of 3.5 or higher).
  • 1 - 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Sound understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with General Ledger (GL).
  • Public accounting (Big 4) experience a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office software, with advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA/Macros a plus).
  • Basic programming skills and/or SQL knowledge a plus.
  • CPA a plus.
  • Knowledge of Great Plains/Management Reporter/Workplace/PaperSave/SQL, Trading operations, Financial statements’ audits are a plus.
  • Technologically focused with a drive toward efficiency, process improvement and automation.
  • Highly motivated Accountant who can work efficiently and prioritize appropriately in a highly demanding environment.
  • Manage high-pressure situations professionally, calmly and with a sense of urgency.
  • Displays a passion for the field of accounting.
  • Proactive and self-motivated to work independently to achieve both individual and team goals.
  • Detail oriented with a strong commitment to preparing accurate work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day accounting duties primarily in accounts payable, cash management, monthly closes, regulatory reporting and other duties as assigned.
  • Cash management responsibilities include transferring cash between entities, processing disbursements across multiple bank accounts and currencies and performing bank reconciliations.
  • General ledger responsibilities include preparing and posting journal entries and assisting with general ledger maintenance.
  • Assist with monthly close activities such as preparing and posting journal entries and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with financial and regulatory audits.
  • Understand and apply regulatory and accounting rules to internal processes and procedures.
  • Interact directly with company personnel and management as needed.
  • Assist on projects and other ad hoc assignments as needed.
  • Collaborating with other team members to help solve problems and make process improvements / automation.
