Requirements

  • Qualified candidates will be experienced and have a strong knowledge of accounting to include processing A/P, A/R, bank account reconciliation, payroll, and month-end closing.
  • Associates degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of PC based applications such as Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to travel out of town up to 75% of the time is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Long Term/Senior Care and with PointClickCare EMR software preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, build, and maintain rapport by delivering excellent customer service via phone and email directly with Business Office Managers and all team members.
  • Ability to perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: training over Business Office Manager responsibilities, cash receipt research/posting, private pay billing, and business office support for daily/monthly accounting processes and procedures in bank account reconciliation, A/R, A/P, Payroll and month-end closing.
  • Willingness to learn Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance, and other Commercial Payer and/or Third-Party insurance coverage.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of core accounting procedures and operational controls for 30 SNF/AL/IL operations.
  • Participate in hiring and selection process of new Business Office Managers.
  • Create and conduct training needs assessments, and oversee the overall training functions of the Business Office Manager
  • Provide support to operational Department Supervisors/Managers in responding to ongoing financial training needs and Admission processes, MDS functions, Payroll time capture, and Accounts Payable.
  • Proficient in implementing and interpreting the financial goals, objectives, policies, and procedures while demonstrating the Mission, Vision, and Values of Vetter Health Services/Vetter Senior Living.
