About The Position

Superior Group of Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role works closely with the Accounting Manager and supports both segment and corporate accounting functions, including quarterly SEC financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity for a public accounting professional looking to transition into industry and expand their exposure across corporate accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
2–3+ years of public accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP
CPA or actively pursuing certification
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Public accounting experience with public audit clients
Exposure to SEC reporting

Responsibilities

Manage monthly close activities for assigned areas including:
Fixed Assets
Prepaid Insurance
Commissions
Rebates
Benefits
Intercompany activity
Prepare journal entries and perform monthly close analysis
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
Perform variance analysis and provide explanations to segment and corporate teams
Assist with quarterly SEC financial reporting
Analyze transactions for proper GAAP treatment
Support development and maintenance of internal control procedures
Participate in special projects and other assigned initiatives
