Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining the general accounting system for the Plan and its subsidiaries. Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries. Prepares balance sheets, income statements, and other reports. Assists department Leadership in planning, implementing, and overseeing new projects. Supports Leadership in the research and development of policies and procedures relative to sound financial accounting processes. This is a hybrid position with requirements to come onsite as scheduled, Flint, MI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or related field; or an Associate Degree and two (2) years’ related experience; or High School diploma and four (4) years’ related experience.
  • Three years’ experience in a progressively more responsible accounting or financial role and proven knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years’ experience and knowledge of HMO, PPO, TPA, PHO and Managed Care functions.
  • Master’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration.
