Job Description This position performs moderately complex accounting activities ensures accuracy of accounting activities, and recommends changes in financial procedures.

Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Nice To Haves

  • Four (4) years of job related accounting/accounts payable experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • Discretion and evaluation capabilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of PC-based business applications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of global enterprise resource planning (ERP) accounting applications such as SAP

Responsibilities

  • Understand and analyze the activities performed with respect to accounting theory and company policy
  • Prepare journal entries and other adjustments required to accurately account for the entities financial statement
  • Prepare account reconciliations as required per policy
  • Perform training duties
  • Interface with other groups inside and outside the organization, including internal and external auditors
  • Recommend modifications to existing procedures, systems, and methods of operation
  • Other duties as assigned
