About The Position

The Accountant III – Merchant Acquiring is responsible for recording, analyzing, and reporting financial reports. This includes preparing entries to accounts, reconciling balances, fixed asset reporting, investment reporting, and creating reports within accounting systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related accounting experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills that include the ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
• Solid analytical skills and the ability to make sound business judgment.
• Strong computer skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Dynamics/AX experience preferred.
• Banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes financial information to determine accuracy of account balances, financial postings and calculations; investigates and resolves discrepancies.
• Prepares and updates financials, reconciliations, evaluations, workbooks, account entries and other financial reports for management review.
• Supports month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including tax returns and annual financial statements.
• Responds to information and reporting requests and prepares documentation for audits.
• Attends various business meetings and functions; keeps current on any industry and regulatory issues that may affect the business.
