The Finance Department is seeking an Accountant III to join their team in the Debt section of the Treasury & Debt Management Division. This department is committed to safeguarding the City's financial resources and providing the citizens of Phoenix with the most accurate, professional, timely, innovative and cost-effective banking, cashiering, investment and debt management services possible utilizing prudent internal controls and industry best practices. This section is responsible for debt issuance and short-term financing, debt management and debt accounting, debt service budgeting, maintaining the City's credit ratings, as well as various accounting and reporting functions related to debt management. The Accountant III is responsible for the administration and accounting of City's Bonded Debt and reports directly to a Debt Manager.
