Maintains the General Ledger. Prepares financial statements. Performs account analysis. Interprets and analyzes financial reports for various management personnel. Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study.
  • Experience - Three (3) years accounting, finance or related experience
  • Able to simultaneously handle multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, conceptual skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of GAAP- Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, interprets, and analyzes financial and statistical data for Management.
  • Prepares monthly general and standard journal entries, financial statements and comparative reports, monthly account reconciliations, and cost reports.
  • Develops special reports and financial analyses as needed or requested for administration and finance.
  • Analyzes financial reports and records to include in financial studies and various management reports.
  • Reviews and verifies financial reports prepared by other accountants for accuracy.
  • Oversees the coding and input of data to financial data processing system.
  • Serves as consultant regarding the hospital's financial affairs, development of operating policies and procedures, department needs and problems.
  • Interacts with outside auditors and participates in occasional auditing projects or provides information and access to general ledger and other accounting records as required.
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for federal, state, or other regulatory agencies.
  • Attends meetings and participates on committees as directed.
  • Represents the department at conferences, meetings, and working committees as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
