General Summary Under minimal supervision, this position provides professional accounting support to the General Accounting and/or department related to the maintenance, processing and analysis of accounting records in a manner consistent with the Company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelors Degree, preferably in Accounting
3-5 Years Accounting experience preferred
Advanced computer spreadsheet skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
Analytical skills
Self-motivated team player
Attention to detail and accuracy
Deadline driven
Customer service focused

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accounting records that validate the accuracy of accounting information and ensure compliance with GAAP.
Prepare, review, and post journal entries to support the monthly close process.
Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records to support strategic decision making.
Participate in cross training efforts for developmental purposes and departmental coverage.
Prepare selected balance sheet reconciliations and analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed that support the General Accounting function.
Participate in the review of the monthly financial package to ensure the accuracy of financial information and to assist in strategic decision making.
Respond to inquiries made by upper management related to financial package to support strategic decision making.
Review of various accounting reports to ensure the accuracy and clarity of information presented.
