About The Position

Responsible for the input of all general ledger journal entries and monthly ledger interfaces. Preparation and balancing of Fixed Asset system inputs which includes recording of purchases, disposals, and depreciation of fixed assets for all companies. Assist IFRS reporting unit by preparing management reports and analyses as assigned. Prepare general ledger journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned. Perform various financial accounting support, backup functions and special projects. Participate in software upgrades and maintenance projects. Initiate efficiencies with management approval.   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education: High School or equivalent knowledge or related experience.Experience: 4 - 6 years or High School equivalent plus 5 - 7 years.Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of the general and technical parts of the job. Works independently.Decision Making: Follows regular, detailed standards and instructions. Applies clearly defined guidelines and procedures in making timely decisions, given the necessary information.Supervision Received: Works under general supervision for routine work. Detailed or specific instructions may be given for new activities or assignments.Leadership: Works as an individual contributor. May participate in training less experienced staff.Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement: Applies knowledge to help solve moderately complex problems requiring independent thinking with direction.Client Contacts: Contacts other departments and or external organizations or parties frequently. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information on matters which may be sensitive and or complex to interpret.   Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must have a solid understanding of accounting terms. Requires attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Strong knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, proficiency in ERP Systems, and analytical experience.Pay Philosophy: The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by several factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location.
