The Accountant I contributes to the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting program by performing essential accounting tasks and supporting daily accounting operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 0-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
  • Strong financial analysis, problem solving & communication skills
  • Process improvement oriented
  • Fundamental understanding of the accounting close process

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preferred in the Energy industry, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Completes assigned tasks with attention to accuracy and adherence to established procedures and controls
  • Gathers, organizes, and verifies data to support reporting, analysis, and decision-making
  • Assists with process enhancements by identifying potential improvements in daily activities
  • Works effectively within a team to meet deadlines and deliverables while ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Actively develops skills through hands-on experience and engagement in learning opportunities
