This entry-level position involves processing financial records, managing invoices, and assisting with budget-related tasks to ensure the fiscal integrity of the department's operations.

  • Process financial records including requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor invoices.
  • Enter data into computerized financial systems.
  • Monitor accounts and prepare spreadsheets, reconciling accounts and reviewing outstanding payables and receivables.
  • Prepare journal vouchers and other financial documents such as budget transfers and cash receipts.
  • Assist with the budget process.
  • Perform administrative duties by compiling data for reports, filing documents, and processing various reports.
  • Maintain files and write correspondence.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Under 1 year of experience in accounting or financial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
  • Ability to read contracts and understand fiscal accounts and records.
  • Knowledge of mathematics as it applies to bookkeeping and accounting operations.
  • Six months of experience as a staff accountant.
