About The Position

As an accountant I, you will be responsible for accounting for compensation and benefits, including retail bonus plans, vacation liabilities, and weekly payroll imports and reporting.

Requirements

  • Experience in accounting at a professional level, including journal entries, account reconciliation, reporting and analysis or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required, degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Experience using an ERP system and business intelligence and reporting tools (such as Hyperion, SAP and Oracle) preferred.
  • CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and self-review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting principles.
  • Reconcile accounts.
  • Maintain and develop various accounting systems and processes.
  • Perform trend and variance analysis as part of month and quarter end close.
  • Support quarterly earnings and ongoing budget and forecasting processes.
  • Produce ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business operational, financial and strategic decisions.
  • Participate in collaborative projects and assignments as needed to support the goals of the department.
