About The Position
The Accountant, Financial Reporting will work closely with management and others to ensure reporting deadlines are met and information provided to internal and external users is accurate and in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The Accountant, Financial Reporting will report directly to the Vice President, Financial Reporting and Treasury.
Requirements
- 2+ years of financial reporting and/or public accounting experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with peers, clients, and management
- Positive attitude and continuous improvement mentality
- Keen problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize assignments according to timelines and importance of tasks
- Ability to work both independently and with others
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment with tight deadlines and frequent ad hoc assignments
- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and Windows-based computer applications with advanced knowledge of Excel
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA and public accounting experience
- Prior experience with Workday
- Prior experience in the data center industry
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for internal and external use
- Prepare monthly reporting for senior management team
- Prepare materials for Board of Directors and other meetings
- Prepare reporting packages for various compliance purposes
- Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Compile supporting schedules for external audit
- Compile and analyze financial information with a high level of accuracy
- Assist with daily cash management and Treasury activities
- Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the Company’s ERP system, including report development, hierarchy setup/updates, and related data governance to support accurate financial reporting
- Assist with implementation of new accounting standards
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve process efficiencies
- Provide quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values
- Perform other duties as assigned
