About The Position

Provides direct customer service, accounts support, and/or clerical/administrative support for the department. Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Handles incoming calls to the department. Provides information to callers/visitors pertaining to the services of the department. Greets internal/external callers/visitors. Registers patients and verifies payer source. Follows up on all account claims that have been billed and unpaid Reports key statistics for compliance, sales, revenue, cash and patient flow. Performs insurance pre-authorization process, enters, validates, and reconciles visit activity and supplies to ensure accurate billing. Posts payments every day and reconcile deposits. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - High School diploma or equivalent, OR post high school diploma Experience - Two (2) years of customer service experience. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, OR post high school diploma
  • Two (2) years of customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Proficient computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database, data entry)
