About The Position

Pratt & Whitney is working to once again transform the future of flight—designing, building and servicing engines unlike any the world has ever seen. The Cold Section Module Center, a part of Pratt & Whitney's Global Supply Chain, is looking for an Account Specialist (AS) in support of Powder Value Stream to manage shop assist suppliers. This role requires outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to build efficient working relationships across various P&W functional groups including Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share, and multiple suppliers. As an account specialist, your main responsibility will be to ensure an uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. You will be the main point of contact for the shop assist suppliers you manage, coordinating and leading actions pertaining to business continuity and improvement. The position will report to the Value Stream Manager for value assist and powder suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in operations, supply chain, or related field OR an Advanced degree (MS/MBA) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge in SAP and MS Office.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with P&W procurement systems and standard work.
  • Delivery assurance and risk mitigation experience.
  • CORE experience and an analytical/metrics-driven approach.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier relationships, focusing on delivery and quality performance, business reviews, and customer satisfaction.
  • Execute purchase orders for value assist suppliers, ensuring on-time order placement and billing adjustments.
  • Assure delivery commitments and execution, support output, mitigate risks, and drive recovery plans with communication to internal customers.
  • Interact daily with the site materials management team and planner for each value assist operation to ensure material flow and set priorities at the supplier.
