This role is based at Lonza’s Greenwood, SC site and focuses on managing and growing customer relationships for the CHI Business Unit. Requirements

  • Experience managing customer accounts within sales, marketing, product management, or customer service environments.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Confidence influencing and collaborating across multiple organizational levels with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with business systems and tools such as Microsoft Office, CRM platforms (e.g., SFDC), Outlook, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • A customer-focused mindset with strong communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, or a related field required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, managing day-to-day interactions and long-term relationships.
  • Support revenue growth by managing accounts, identifying upsell opportunities, and achieving annual sales objectives.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Development to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Track, analyze, and forecast account performance, preparing reports for sales teams and leadership.
  • Manage customer orders, specifications, and the development of new custom materials.
  • Resolve customer complaints through root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.
  • Provide leadership coverage by backfilling the Sales Manager role when required and representing Lonza in customer visits and sales meetings (approximately 10% travel).
