About The Position

Brightline is expanding its presence within the global travel trade community, and we are seeking a high-performing Account Representative/BDR to help grow and scale our Travel Trade segment. This individual contributor will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, strengthening trade relationships, and driving incremental revenue and ridership through agencies, wholesalers, tour operators, consortia, and other travel trade partners across the U.S., LATAM, Canada, and Europe. The ideal candidate brings deep industry knowledge, established trade relationships, and hands-on experience working with agencies or tourism organizations. They are proactive, organized, and excited to represent Brightline as the preferred rail partner for leisure and inbound travel

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the travel trade industry.
  • Prior experience working for a travel agency, tour operator, wholesaler, DMO/tourism board, or consortia.
  • Strong understanding of travel trade commission structures, contracting, and incentive programs.
  • Proven track record of building partnerships and driving measurable revenue growth.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (trade shows, partner visits, events).
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline.

  • Established network within the retail agency, tour operator, and international inbound travel community preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Prospecting Identify, qualify, and pursue new travel trade opportunities across designated markets (U.S., LATAM, Canada, Europe).
  • Conduct ongoing prospecting through calls, emails, trade shows, consortia events, and industry networking.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of partners to support revenue and ridership goals.
  • Trade Partner Engagement & Account Management Serve as one of the primary points of contact for agencies, OTA’s, wholesalers/tour operators, consortia/host agencies, etc.
  • Lead the full partner lifecycle: prospecting, pitch/presentation, contracting, onboarding, product training, and ongoing engagement.
  • Develop account plans to drive production, track performance, and execute growth strategies.
  • Maintain consistent communication with partners to ensure they are educated, supported, and incentivized to sell Brightline.
  • Marketing & Promotional Strategy Collaborate with Marketing to build an annual promotional and content calendar targeted to travel trade audiences.
  • Develop trade-focused email campaigns, incentives, and partner promotions to drive revenue and bookings.
  • Provide market insights to shape messaging, offers, and merchandising.
  • Training & Enablement Deliver product training sessions, webinars, and in-person presentations to educate partners on Brightline’s offerings.
  • Create or refine onboarding materials, training decks, and reference guides.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and partner workflows.
  • Performance, Processes & Reporting Monitor account performance, analyze data, and provide regular reporting on production and trends.
  • Recommend process improvements to streamline communication, contracting, and partner activation.
  • Support internal stakeholders by sharing trade insights and feedback to enhance Brightline’s travel trade strategy.
