About the position

The ISR will learn Xeris products, technology, selling model, systems, data, and compliance regulations that govern the pharmaceutical industry during his/her/their tenure. This role will be expected to contribute to the achievement of commercial objectives in alignment with Xeris' corporate goals. The ISR's professional development includes cultivating relationships with customers, achieving established sales goals within a defined territory with a goal of leveraging these experiences to ensure readiness for a field sales position.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver on corporate objectives specific to territory.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with key contacts within assigned territory.
  • Verbalize value proposition of Xeris products.
  • Understand the patient journey and how Xeris products may impact patients.
  • Overcome objections to educate clients on the value of assigned products.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Strong desire to grow and develop client relationships.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of territory.
  • Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems, perform other tasks assigned by manager.
  • Create a face to the internal and external customer that demonstrates Xeris' commitment to bringing value and solutions to the customers and patients we serve.
  • Collaborate with peers, marketing, and training personnel to share information and implement territory initiatives/strategies.
  • Create, build, and maintain relationships and regular communications and sales efforts with physicians & other health care providers, and all others pertinent to Xeris' business.
  • Responsible for prospecting new businesses and lead generations on an ongoing basis.
  • Professionally and ethically represent Xeris to external customers and foster their respect by demonstrating our commitment to advancing patient care and outcomes.
  • Leverage internal training and development to ensure field readiness.
  • Prepare for and participate in business reviews to demonstrate overall progress on field readiness requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Business, or related field.
  • The ideal candidate will have sales and/or customer support experience.
  • Previous healthcare sales experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be committed and willing to transfer to a field sales position within the contiguous 48 states.
  • Proficient with corporate productivity tools such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and web presentation tools.
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management software preferred.
  • Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results (sales and/or non-sales related).
  • Thrives in ambiguity and uncertainty; can adapt quickly in any situation and asks questions to increase depth of understanding.
