For more information, please visit www.andersonsinc.com . Position Overview Sales and relationship role responsible for establishing new accounts and maintaining and servicing existing accounts. This position gains and applies knowledge of turf industry, products and services offered, market trends, gross profit, and pricing to make recommendations to customers, meet established sales/deal goals, and gain new accounts. What is expected of you and others at this level Has general awareness of business, financials, products/services and the market Complexity is limited (territory/account, products/services or sales process) Has very limited authority and opportunity to set and negotiate product/service terms Relies on manager to provide planning and manage resources.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Agronomy degree and/or relevant experience strongly preferred
  • Turf, fertilizer, and/or wholesale distribution experience preferred
  • Turf/fertilizer sales experience strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience required
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Must be able to drive for the company according to the Company’s Vehicle Safety and Driver Qualification Policy

Responsibilities

  • Locate, evaluate and recruit potential customers/clients.
  • Serve customers, address inquiries or forward to appropriate internal contact.
  • Inform customers of new product/service introductions and prices
  • Create, monitor and revise lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
  • Participate in marketing activities as needed
  • Manage administrative requirements of the position.
  • Maintain data and resources that will serve to empower the incumbent, as well as to inform the department through reporting or sharing of information.
