About The Position

The Employee Benefits Account Representative II at HUB International plays a crucial role in managing client relationships and providing day-to-day service for employee benefits clients. This position focuses on the mid to large group market segment, ensuring client retention, resolving claims and coverage issues, and supporting compliance matters. The role involves collaboration with various teams to deliver innovative solutions and maintain strong carrier relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of related experience as an Account Manager, Account Representative, or Benefits Analyst in the employee benefits arena.
  • Must hold a valid CA Life Agent license or will obtain.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Project Management software and database software is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and execute deliverables from strategic planning with stewardship reports, renewal and marketing process, open enrollment, and special projects.
  • Resolve claims and coverage issues for clients' employees when elevated from HR or Hub International's MyBenefitsChampion call center.
  • Assist clients with billing and eligibility audits, and conduct these audits independently when necessary.
  • Advise clients on compliance matters.
  • Develop open enrollment presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and conduct benefits webinars or record presentations for employees and HR Managers.
  • Create employee benefit booklets in conjunction with the C&D Team using Microsoft Publisher.
  • Facilitate preparation of open enrollment packets including SBCs and disclosure notices.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Department on the distribution of MyBenefitsChampion communication materials.
  • Communicate MyBenefitsChampion utilization trends to clients.
  • Manage new carrier, plan, or vendor implementation including benefits administration system build-out and project management.
  • Perform contract review and facilitate preparation of SPD Wraps, Cafeteria, and POP Plan documents.
  • Prepare master group files, client contact sheets, and maintain carrier files.
  • Support the Account Executive in strategy and execution.
