About The Position

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned accounts in support of Garden State Growers business objectives for The Home Depot account. This role serves as the primary point of contact for key customers or vendor partners, focusing on relationship management, revenue growth, and execution of strategic account initiatives. The Account Manager works cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure exceptional service, operational excellence, and long-term partnership success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Vendor Management, or Retail Operations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and financial metrics
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); CRM experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned accounts to achieve revenue, margin, and growth targets
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for customers or vendors, ensuring alignment with The Home Depot’s sales strategy
  • Develop and execute account plans in collaboration with the Senior Management
  • Drive sales growth through product assortment optimization, promotional planning, and forecasting
  • Analyze sales performance, trends, and KPIs to identify risks and opportunities
  • Lead regular business reviews and performance discussions with account stakeholders
  • Partner with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to support account initiatives
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, promotions, and service agreements within approved guidelines
  • Proactively address and resolve account issues related to service levels, delivery, or performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and operational standards
  • Provide regular updates and insights to Senior Management on account performance and strategy
