About The Position

Fortis Solutions Group is a best-in-class provider of a differentiated suite of specialty packaging solutions focusing on five categories: pressure sensitive labels, multi-ply coupon and flexible packaging printing, shrink sleeves, folding cartons, and applicators. Headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA, the company also has manufacturing and sales offices across the U.S and Canada. As the Account Manager-Wine, you will be responsible for driving new wine label sales for Fortis Solutions Group within the Napa Valley territory. You will be expected to identify prospects, meet with prospects at their locations, and generate opportunities to quote on the business of prospects, with the intent of securing new business. Qualified candidates will reside within the Napa Valley area and have at least two years of prior experience within the wine industry. As an ideal candidate, you should also possess solid prospecting and networking skills and the ability to develop life-long customer relationships. Additional training will be provided to learn our wine label products and printing processes, as needed. We're looking for outgoing, motivated and driven individuals with a customer-first mentality and a proven ability to win new business! This is an "early career" position that offers a base salary plus uncapped, tiered commission on all sales, resulting in a total compensation ranging from $90,000 to $150,000 or more, annually, based on individual sales results. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, associate degree or higher preferred.
  • At least 5 years of wine industry sales experience consistently demonstrating a track record of new and existing customer sales growth.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptably clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling techniques including securing face to face meetings with decision makers, debunking common sales objections, and closing deals.
  • Proven ability to close sales and drive territory sales growth.
  • Capable of building strong relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Understanding of the sales landscape in the assigned area.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage competing projects.
  • Proactive, problem solver. Accountable to customers and company management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Proficient with project management and sales/CRM software (Smartsheet, SalesForce, Microsoft Project, etc.).
  • Capable and comfortable working from a home office.
  • Must possess a home office and a personally insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual new business sales goals.
  • Achieve annual existing/current customer sales goals.
  • Identify strategic potential new business sales opportunities within the assigned territory and introduce the Company to these opportunities.
  • Utilize various tools including personal knowledge, networking, and company marketing resources to generate new leads that drive sales growth.
  • Employ creative and fresh techniques to secure onsite meetings with new business decision makers.
  • Generate new business sales through onsite qualification of customer needs, providing detailed product information and pricing estimates, and communication of the Company’s value proposition.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com software to report new business contacts, opportunities, track activities, and provide accurate prospect and sales volume data.
  • Develop marketing and sales plans for new business growth.
  • Develop generic and specific customer presentations and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Actively participate in and lead appropriate Company sales meetings.
  • Supply won/loss data with reasons for all estimates.
  • Troubleshoot problems regarding customer products and handle complaints if necessary.
  • Keep informed of industry changes, new products, services, and other items of interest to customers.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and events as necessary.
  • Travel as required to develop new business opportunities within assigned territory.
