About The Position

As an Account Manager in the Upstream Chemical team, you will take ownership of delivering service and maintenance to our customers. This role involves selling and servicing existing customers while growing the revenue stream in your area of responsibility. You will provide a vital service by implementing, monitoring, and evaluating chemical delivery systems, working on a team that adapts to changing job requirements to satisfy customer needs. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of production chemistry supply and service contracts, providing on-site technical guidance, monitoring and optimizing chemical treatment programs, preparing technical reviews and proposals, and prospecting for new accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • 3 years of related working experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others.
  • In-depth knowledge of process optimization and production chemistry.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with MS Office.
  • Ability to work outside during difficult seasonal weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of production chemistry supply and service contracts to ensure successful delivery to customers.
  • Provide on-site technical guidance and support for production operations, process engineering, and commercial queries.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize chemical treatment programs to support production operations.
  • Prepare technical reviews and proposals of new chemical solutions for customers.
  • Prospect for new accounts to build the customer base in the area of responsibility.
  • Organize routine production chemical reviews and selection activities to verify changing customer needs.
