About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead and grow our business with Target. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day account operations, driving sales performance, and building strong relationships with retail partners. The ideal candidate has a background working with large retail accounts from a distributor or multi-brand environment and is highly skilled in analytics, forecasting, and retail execution.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of account management experience with a major retailer (Target strongly preferred)
  • Experience working on the distributor/vendor side (not exclusively brand-direct retail)
  • Experience outside of vertical/direct-to-consumer brands
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of retail math, margin structure, and promotional planning
  • Experience managing markdowns, trade spend, and retail negotiations
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis; experience with retail reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Background in multi-brand, wholesale, or distributor environments
  • Strategic thinking with a strong analytical mindset
  • Relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on execution
  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop and grow the relationship with Target buyers and cross-functional teams
  • Proactively manage all new client briefs through production
  • Own sales performance and deliver against revenue, margin, and growth targets
  • Lead assortment planning, item setup, and ongoing product lifecycle management
  • Analyze sales data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities and risks
  • Prepare and present regular business reviews, line reviews, and selling reports
  • Manage promotional planning, pricing strategies, and markdown agreements
  • Coordinate and manage all internal communications related to client activity, collaborating with development, creative, and production teams to ensure timely updates and alignment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, replenishment, and in-stock performance to optimize sell-through
  • Drive forecasting and demand planning to support business growth
  • Ensure compliance with retailer requirements, timelines, and operational processes
  • Continuously nurture and strengthen new business relationships to secure long-term partnerships through in-person meetings, calls, and consistent follow-ups
  • Lead RFP and tender submissions, leveraging internal resources to deliver compelling, competitive proposals and secure new opportunities
  • Monitor industry trends and client feedback to inform strategy, maintain a competitive edge, and ensure Twelve’s solutions remain relevant and impactful
