About The Position

We are seeking an Account Manager - Smelting Market Area NCA to join our Smelting team. You will be responsible for representing Business Line Smelting in the North and Central America, supporting also MA South America colleagues when needed. You will focus on generating new sales opportunities, follow-up on RFQ's and related proposals and resulting contracts in line with Smelting annual average sales order intake targets. In this position, you will report to Director, Smelting Market Area Sales. This position is mainly located within the North Central America region, being Canada, USA or Mexico. The role will require 25-40% travel.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree or similar qualifications.
  • Experienced Professional: You bring advanced experience in project marketing and sales, project management, the smelting industry, technology sales, or other relevant fields.
  • Solution-Oriented: You excel at developing long-term solution sales and coordinating between multiple internal and external stakeholders across various locations.
  • Technical Knowledge: You possess knowledge of pyrometallurgical processes (preferably copper smelting) and related technologies.
  • Resilient and Efficient: You thrive under tight timelines and business pressures, with a drive to achieve targets and continuously develop your abilities.
  • Motivated and Growth-Oriented: You are motivated and capable of organizational and personal development.
  • Multilingual: You are fluent in written and spoken English, with Spanish being a clear advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Support, coordinate, and develop spare parts, technical advisory, and other offerings with Aftermarket teams, ensuring customer needs are met or exceeded.
  • Lead Winning Proposals: Support, coordinate, and develop proposals that meet customer expectations within suitable timelines.
  • Smooth Project Transitions: Ensure successful sales projects transition smoothly and efficiently to delivery.
  • Build Good Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with key personnel at multiple customer sites.
  • Identify Opportunities: Follow up on customer needs, upcoming investments, and future plans.
  • Manage Accounts: Coordinate and develop site account management activities.
  • Grow the Sales Funnel: Proactively build the sales funnel and ensure CRM (Salesforce) compliance.
