About The Position

The Account Manager supports the Private and Iconic Collections team in sales and client support. This role offers hands-on exposure to important private and iconic collections and the opportunity to support auction sales from initial inquiry through final sale, while learning the full consignment lifecycle within a global auction house. The Account Manager acts as a key point of coordination, assisting senior team members and providing thoughtful client support throughout the entire sales process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience (art market, auction house, luxury, client services, or related field preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management abilities
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and take direction while growing more confidence working with clients
  • Interest in the auction process and working with important private and iconic collections
  • Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential information

Responsibilities

  • Support valuation and consignment projects for collections, including assisting with research, documentation, and internal coordination
  • Help track and follow auction sales from start to finish, including consignment intake, sale preparation, and post-sale follow-up and coordination
  • Assist in responding to client logistic inquiries and maintaining relationships with an assigned group of clients under senior guidance
  • Support the consignment process by helping with proposals and agreements, tracking fees, organizing specialist visits, and monitoring timelines
  • Coordinate communication between specialists, regional teams, photography, marketing, and internal departments to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
  • Help manage the flow of documents through production and proofing, assisting with final review to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Build working relationships with colleagues across departments and assist with their participation in projects
  • Assist with evaluating consignment potential and routing inquiries to the appropriate departments
  • Prepare appraisal agreements and invoices under supervision
  • Attend on-site and off-site client visits and events as requested
  • Maintain organized status updates for active consignments and support regular internal and client communications
  • Deliver a high level of client service while supporting senior team members on high-touch accounts
