About The Position

As an Account Manager PCG - Business Development & Composites, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving strategic growth across the paints, coatings, and inks sectors by managing key accounts, introducing specialty additives, and exploring new market opportunities. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals, including R D, technical support, and marketing, to deliver sustainable solutions that advance mobility, improve wellbeing, and enhance modern life. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and the successful commercialization of cutting-edge technologies in performance coatings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred; candidates with equivalent professional experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the composites industry.
  • Strong understanding of additives such as hyperdispersants and surface modifiers.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in the composites market.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels within customer organizations.
  • Strong technical understanding of the Composites industry and the ability to translate complex technical information into customer-friendly solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities in adjacent markets or applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to meet with customers and attend industry events.

  • Manage and grow key accounts within the paints, coatings, and inks sectors, ensuring strong relationships with customers across various functions, including procurement, technical, and marketing teams.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to individual accounts, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities within your territory.
  • Focus on the sale of additives such as hyperdispersants, surface modifiers, and other specialty chemicals.
  • Understand and communicate the value proposition of these products to customers, positioning them as solutions to meet specific needs in the coatings industry.
  • Identify potential customers and market segments for expansion.
  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform sales strategies.
  • Proactively explore and evaluate new opportunities in adjacent markets and applications relevant to performance coatings.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R D, technical support, and marketing, to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Lead negotiations and close sales contracts, ensuring favorable terms for both the company and the customer.
  • Provide first-response technical support to customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues related to product performance and application.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports on account status, sales forecasts, and market conditions.
  • Actively participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company's products.
