About The Position

The Account Manager (Outside Sales) position at Corley Oaks Distribution is designed for a highly motivated individual who will cultivate and nurture partnerships with customers in the Midland/Odessa area. This role focuses on enhancing sales performance while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a work-life balance. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling new accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and developing new sales strategies within a family-oriented workplace environment.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma required, college degree in Business with a Major in Sales or Marketing preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience required.
• Experience in the janitorial/paper industry preferred.
• Ability to understand the needs of business accounts through conversational interaction and converting those needs into sales required.
• Ability to do routine business math calculations including computation of sales costs with comparison with other vendors of janitorial supplies.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written required.
• Maintains a well-groomed appearance as appropriate for the position.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the janitorial/paper industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visiting all the stores in the designated area, selling new accounts and identifying new opportunities, and following up with contacts.
• Ensuring customer satisfaction concerning sales of any and all company products and/or services.
• Provide a positive and professional image for the company.
• Maintain an accurate customer account list and remain in constant contact with established customers.
• Maintaining or exceeding assigned sales volume and profit margin and keeping up to date with changes in the industry.
• Providing weekly schedules with specific customers visited & turn in weekly reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Develop new sales strategies and promote the sales of Corley Oaks Distribution.
