About The Position

The Inside Sales Account Manager at MaxLite is a hybrid of traditional inside sales and account management, focused on building and sustaining strong distributor relationships. You will drive fast quoting, issue escalation, and pipeline growth, while supporting field sales (RSM/agent) with CRM rigor and best-in-class customer engagement. This role is highly metrics-driven and demands strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of inside sales, account management, or distributor relations experience (lighting industry a plus).
  • Strong phone presence and professional communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital communication tools
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and self-motivated—comfortable working with data and KPIs.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned distribution branches, promoting MaxLite products, programs, and initiatives.
  • Build and nurture distributor relationships through regular calls, virtual/in-person meetings, and follow-up on opportunities or issues.
  • Generate and send fast, accurate quotes for small orders; route larger project requests to the appropriate quoting team and track follow-up.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to sell clearance, one-time, or special buy inventory.
  • Log all customer interactions, feedback, and sales activities in CRM with a focus on accuracy and completeness.
  • Track and report on call volume, quoting activity, sales closed, and customer satisfaction using established KPIs.
  • Escalate issues or opportunities to the field sales team (RSM/agent) as needed for closure.
  • Keep distributor contact records and account assignments up to date in CRM.
  • Act as an advocate for MaxLite within the distribution channel and support strategic sales initiatives set by leadership.
  • Post-sale support when escalated by RSM/agent.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product Management, Marketing, Supply Chain) to ensure the best customer experience.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
