About The Position

FNIC is seeking a “benefits guru” to join our team as an Account Manager II, Employee Benefits who will work with brokers and carriers to provide exceptional service to our clients. What’s the work like? You will... Effectively and independently manage customer service accountabilities on an Employee Benefits book of business less than $700,000 in commission income Assist producer in development of service plan for assigned accounts; and coordinate and monitor the service plan as needed Responsible for file setup and quotes for groups between 2 and 100 lives Knowledgeable of all group products plan designs and rating procedures for a book of business below $700,000 in commission income Assist producers in preparation of enrollment materials and presentations and attend client meetings and benefit fairs Complete servicing of accounts, including but not limited to utilizing standard proposals, spreadsheets and Power Point presentations, depending upon which product is quoted Review policies upon receipt in accordance with agency procedures for timely customer service Review all applications and policies for accuracy and completeness and take an active role in completing all carrier requirements to implement policy Manage renewal process according to agency procedures; review quotes, prepare proposals Promptly respond to customers’ questions and/or requests for assistance Communicate all necessary information to producers, clients, carriers and any other agency team members servicing the account Maintain the electronic account file and fully incorporate the capabilities of the agency management system into daily workflow Prioritize workload to consistently meet objectives and request assistance from management when necessary Perform quality reviews as requested by management, and comply with requirements of quality programs Follow agency and department procedures as outlined by management Maintain effective working relationships with clients to support business retention and accompany producer to client meetings as necessary Maintain effective working relationships with insurance company representatives and attend carrier meetings as necessary Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI) Maintain, develop, and pursue technical knowledge through newsletters, bulletins, seminars, trade publications or other educational opportunities Maintain regular and consistent attendance Any other special projects and duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Resident Life, Accident & Health Agent License
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2–4 years of direct Employee Benefits Account Management experience
  • Experience servicing employee benefits accounts, including knowledge of plan designs and proposal processes
  • Experience working with Fully Insured and Level Funded plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email systems, and agency management/automation software
  • High level of professionalism and respect for confidentiality
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal team members and external partners

Responsibilities
