About The Position
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a world-class Account Manager to join our Global Financial Services team. This role is pivotal in managing customer relationships with strategic Capital Markets financial services enterprise customers. The Account Manager will focus on growing business and defining the cloud computing industry within the world's largest, most strategic, multinational Fortune 100 Financial Services companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology sales, business development, and account management, with a proven track record of identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals. In this position, the Account Manager will be responsible for building strategic relationships within the account, articulating a clear vision, and generating enthusiasm across all business groups. The role requires selling at the most strategic level within the account and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation. The Account Manager will collaborate with various AWS resources, including executives, solution architects, business development teams, and professional services, to support customer interests and ensure successful service delivery. The successful candidate will also help define product requirements by mapping business needs to opportunities, act as the face of AWS to the account, and own forecasting and quota attainment for the account. A strong interest in learning AWS products and offerings is essential, as is the ability to navigate a matrix internal team and the customer in a trusted advisor/consultative approach.
