The Complex Risk Practice provides our clients with an integrated structure to address all of their Global risk management advisory and consultative needs. We do this by leveraging HUB's best technical experts, and industry specialists. Our clients benefit from customized advice, maintain a relationship with one senior contact, and make their own educated decisions regarding risk retention and risk transfer using state of the art technical solutions and insurance products. HUB’s Complex Risk Practice is looking for a dynamic and results oriented Account Manager to join their established and rapidly growing operation. The ideal candidate possesses experience with complex accounts within diversified industries, multi-national placements and a track record of innovation and presentation skills. This role is focused on retaining and servicing client property and casualty accounts. This role offers diversity and requires a combination of business acumen, technical insurance knowledge delivered through a consultative approach to client’s risk managers, and C-Suite executives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or College equivalent with relevant experience)
  • Property/Casualty Insurance License
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the commercial insurance industry
  • Experience with a variety of large and complex P&C insurance placements
  • Computer proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, CRM experience
  • Computer proficient with EPIC or other broker management system
  • Strong organizational, time and client management skills
  • Effective communication skills: verbal, written and presentation skills up to the C-Level (i.e. CEOs, CFOs and Presidents)
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently
  • A desire to learn more and take on challenging work while being supported by senior colleagues
  • Proactive and customer focused approach
  • Resourceful researching skills
  • Detail oriented, strong ability to connect with people and the ability to negotiate

Responsibilities

  • Effective communication with commercial clients and multinational companies.
  • Creating effective strategies to address client insurance needs, negotiations and the ability to lead those discussions.
  • Discuss and perform exposure analysis with client representatives
  • Working closely with the Global AE on exposure analysis: identifying existing exposures and leveraging our specialty insurance products to examine alternative risk management solutions for the client(s)
  • Coverage design/analysis: coverage triggers, definitions, exclusions, and continuity
  • Marketing of insurance products in existing and new opportunities, either individually or in conjunction with HUB’s Risk Practices
  • Leading underwriter conference calls and meetings
  • Helping clients select amongst competing quotes
