PLEASE NOTE: Although this role is considered "remote", candidates must live locally to Northeastern MA (Greater Worcester to Greater Boston and points north), due to the travel aspects of this role (frequent daily and/or weekly on-site client visits in MA). This role is an ideal position for a person who would enjoy representing the interests of AAA Northeast within its Approved Auto Repair (AAR) network, playing a significant role in driving the adoption of AAA programs. Working within an assigned area, the AAR Specialist is responsible for not only developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing automotive repair facilities (accounts) but establishing relationships with potential new accounts as well. This role does require extensive driving within the assigned area approximately 3-5 days a week. Develops AAR specific project plans, acquires resources and coordinates the efforts of team members and contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. Develops strong and effective working relationships between AAR facilities and AAA Northeast; establishes trust, respect and cooperation with owners, to ensure the spirit of Five Diamond Customer Service reaches all Club members. Processes applications from potential contract garages; interviews owners and performs on-site inspections of equipment and facilities, ensuring AAA operating standards and contract compliance. Monitors all assigned AAR facility activities to ensure that Club and National quality standards are met; visits assigned facilities regularly to assure program standards are being met, i.e. signage, yearly insurance, etc. Counsels regarding opportunities for improved service and follows through until the desired result occurs; keeps facility owners abreast of customer satisfaction responses; informs External Field Operations management of areas of concern. Works collectively with External Field Operations and the Technical Training department to identify technical training needs of the facilities; may assist in developing & delivery of technical training programs to support External Field Operations. Offer support to new Battery Technician trainees. Performs observations to evaluate training & equipment needs, to ensure proper safety, technical and member service procedures are followed.

Requirements

  • Account/Sales Manager experience preferred
  • Automotive Service Writer, Manager or repair industry experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Travel required approximately 4 days a week with 1 day in office or at home
  • High School or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • OE/ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Certification preferred but not required
  • 2 or 4 Year College Degree Preferred
  • Automotive repair experience (hobby or professional) preferred.
