About The Position

The Account Manager for Amazon at Beiersdorf is responsible for driving the company's sales and profitability on the Amazon platform. This role involves commercial management, account and relationship management, and assortment and digital shelf strategy. The Account Manager will work closely with various internal teams and Amazon's Vendor Manager to ensure that sales targets are met, promotional strategies are executed effectively, and operational health is monitored. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage both strategic and tactical aspects of the business.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Sales, National Account Management, or eCommerce, preferably within the CPG industry.
  • Direct Amazon Account Management experience is required, with a minimum of 7+ years managing a large, complex business on Amazon Vendor Central.
  • Proven ability to own and manage a full P&L.
  • Demonstrable experience in leading successful negotiations and influencing stakeholders.
  • Highly proficient in interpreting data from Amazon Retail Analytics and digital shelf tools.
  • A track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to think long-term and develop strategic plans while managing day-to-day needs.
  • Proactive and results-driven with problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sell-in/sell-out targets are met and provide commentary on performance and key trends.
  • Manage trade spend, accruals, and co-op agreements in collaboration with Finance and Revenue Growth Management Teams.
  • Plan and execute promotional strategies to drive sales and visibility.
  • Manage the product portfolio on Amazon, including new item launches and discontinuations.
  • Monitor key operational metrics in Vendor Central and flag issues related to chargebacks and shortages.
  • Gather documentation to investigate and dispute operational chargebacks and shortage claims.
  • Pull weekly and monthly reports from Amazon Retail Analytics and Vendor Central on key metrics.
  • Support the development and execution of the annual Joint Business Plan with Amazon.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the Amazon Vendor Manager.
  • Prepare for and lead recurring business meetings with Amazon.
  • Support key commercial negotiations with Amazon regarding trade terms and promotional funding.
  • Manage the entire Beiersdorf product assortment on Amazon.
  • Lead the commercial strategy for new product launches on Amazon.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Shelf Manager to optimize content for conversion.
  • Partner with the Amazon Advertising Manager to align retail media strategy with commercial goals.
  • Translate brand marketing objectives into a cohesive go-to-market strategy on Amazon.
