About the position

The position involves joining Esri's AEC account team to leverage geospatial technology in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries. The role focuses on building customer relationships, optimizing the adoption of Esri technology, and identifying growth opportunities while collaborating with a supportive team dedicated to customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with organizations and develop location strategies.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of business growth opportunities for new and existing customers.
  • Leverage social media and other avenues to build a professional network.
  • Participate and present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge relevant to GIS applications.
  • Identify key stakeholders and business drivers for organizations.
  • Understand customer budgeting and acquisition processes.
  • Use solution selling skills to address customer needs and challenges.
  • Articulate the strength and value of Esri technology in the AEC industry.
  • Conduct research and pursue professional development to anticipate customer needs and trends.
  • Execute account management and sales processes for all opportunities.
  • Support visual storytelling and propose solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with teams across Esri to define and execute account strategies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • Experience creating partnerships and establishing trust with customers.
  • Understanding of account management, planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the AEC industry and technology trends.
  • Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience managing the sales life cycle.
  • General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis for problem solving.
  • Knowledge of industry fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
  • Master's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
