About The Position

PURPOSE: The Inside Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing communication between laundry operations and customers by providing proactive and professional customer service. JOB SUMMARY: Primarily responsible for ensuring that the company goals and objectives are met in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse, logistics, or laundry operations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer systems.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Comfortable working in an industrial laundry environment (heat, humidity, noise).
  • Ability to meet daily production and accuracy standards.

Responsibilities

  • Track, monitor, and control all linen and garment inventory, including rentals, customer-owned goods (COG), and specialty items.
  • Verify inbound and outbound merchandise counts by item type, weight, and location.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using internal systems, spreadsheets, and production reports.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and damages.
  • Coordinate with Production, Transportation, and Customer Service to ensure correct product flow and delivery.
  • Label, tag, and identify merchandise by customer, department, and location as required.
  • Support cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Monitor linen usage trends and report abnormal losses or overconsumption.
  • Ensure proper handling and separation of clean vs. soiled merchandise.
  • Assist in the setup of new accounts, par levels, and special programs.
  • Communicate inventory issues clearly and professionally to management.
  • Enforce company policies related to linen control, loss prevention, and customer contracts.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
