About The Position

LodgeLink's Commercial team has a full-time position for an Account Executive (our title internally is Business Development Manager), with a focus on the Southeastern US market. This role is remote from anywhere in the US. LodgeLink, a Black Diamond Group Company, is a tech company that delivers efficiency and cost control for complex workforce travel. We offer an end-to-end crew travel management solution, from accommodation to transportation. We are the fastest growing ecosystem of hotels and lodges in North America. The Account Executive reports to the Sales Manager, US, and is a key contributor in expanding LodgeLink's presence in the Southeastern US. As a trailblazer, the Account Executive will build and manage relationships with new customers and play a key role in developing commercial strategies for the Southeastern US market. They will be expected to meet established sales targets to increase market share for LodgeLink.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years outside sales (sales/business development, account executive) experience
  • Demonstrated experience in new customer acquisition is required
  • Ability to learn and become a technology expert (LodgeLink.com) and demonstrate LodgeLink.com's powerful online solutions to fulfill crew travel accommodation needs
  • Proven ability to quickly build rapport and develop long-term productive relationships
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; Excellent listening and discovery skills combined with strong communication skills and ability to overcome objections
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce
  • Willingness to travel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in workforce accommodation, hospitality, or business travel is an asset
  • Experience in software or technology sales is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Proactively seek and solicit new business opportunities to grow the LodgeLink platform
  • Research leads and conduct discovery calls to identify customer pain points and assess size of opportunities and likelihood of success
  • Work with Inside Sales Representatives assigned to your territory to prioritize and grow opportunities
  • Work with Customer Success and Marketing team members to tailor presentations towards the needs of potential customers
  • Conduct cold calls, initial introductory calls and product demonstrations independently
  • Track all opportunity and customer details including use case, timelines, next steps and forecasting in SalesForce
  • Participate in events such as seminars, trade shows and other marketing events
  • Develop, nurture, and retain strong relationships with clients within assigned accounts
  • Follow-up with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and increase share of their travel spend and/or re-engage accounts that have gone dormant
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure high satisfaction within your accounts
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, and product development requests from current/prospective customers and report back to the team
  • Communicate any unique customer requests with members of account management team
  • Follow-up on collection of payments with client base, as required
  • Travel as required
  • Other duties, initiatives and projects as may be assigned from time to time
