About The Position

ESPN Madison is seeking an Account Executive (Marketing Consultant) to join our sales team to help drive revenue and create customized solutions for potential advertising partners. Madison, frequently named the nation’s best college sports town, was Good Karma Brands’ second market. ESPN Madison is the best place for local and national sports talk, and features signature events such as ESPN Wisconsin College GameDay to bring fans and marketing partners together year after year. We are now looking for an Account Executive (Marketing Consultant) to help lead our team into the future. GKB is a media and marketing company with expertise in leveraging the power of national and local sports and news to build brands and connect with fans through audio, video, digital and events. With offices throughout the country and our home office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, GKB’s team includes over 550 teammates and is recognized as a “Best Place to Work” by Front Office Sports, Sports Business Journal, and USA TODAY. The primary role of the Marketing Consultant is to develop long-term relationships with area businesses and agencies by creating and selling successful, customized marketing solutions utilizing Good Karma Brands Madison assets. Marketing Consultants are responsible for partnership development, including prospecting new business and account retention. This will require a thorough knowledge of the Madison market and state of Wisconsin, as well as the solutions/services we provide. Those opportunities include: 100.5 ESPN (Madison), 94.5 ESPN (Milwaukee), 1430 ESPN (Beaver Dam), ESPN’s digital assets (ESPN Livestreaming, ESPN.com, ESPN App, and the ESPN Fantasy App), Milwaukee Brewers play-by-play, Wisconsin Volleyball play-by-play, Milwaukee Bucks play-by-play, ESPN Wisconsin app, ESPN Wisconsin Digital Channels, The Tundra Trio hospitality and The Tundra Trio Radio Network.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, uncover, and develop partnership opportunities.
  • Develop relationships with area businesses and decision makers.
  • Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of the complete portfolio of Good Karma Brands’ assets and create successful, customized multi-channel marketing solutions.
  • Continually educate yourself on media and new trends in the industry.
  • Network with local businesses to expand your sphere of influence in the market.
  • Ability to uncover marketing objectives and create solutions to solve those objectives.
  • Ability to sell at all levels including C-Level positions.
  • Prospect and Schedule first appointments through cold calling, emailing, and other new business outreach tactics.
