About The Position

Fox TV Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas. These stations distribute sports, entertainment, and syndicated content, and collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. Fox 29 Philadelphia – WTXF is seeking a driven, results-oriented sales professional and skillful relationship-builder to join their team. The role involves forging long-term relationships with potential clients and helping local businesses grow. Fox 29 is an industry leader, uniquely connecting with the Philadelphia population, notably through its morning show, Good Day Philadelphia. Beyond broadcast, the station provides sophisticated digital offerings for comprehensive marketing solutions. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to generate digital and broadcast advertising revenue for Philadelphia’s most authentic and high-energy local television station.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Video Advertising Business Development and Sales.
  • Digital and Linear ad sales savvy with a proven track record of developing new business and achieving measurable success.
  • A skilled negotiator and motivator capable of managing complex deals and driving accounts from lead to close in a competitive Top 5 market.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and cloud-based applications is required.
  • Ability to accurately forecast revenue based on pipelines and pending deals.

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • WideOrbit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Revenue by selling a suite that includes local linear powerhouse Fox 29 along with cutting-edge digital advertising solutions across our key brands, including FLX, FOX Local, TUBI, FOX Sports, and FOXNEWS.com, as well as unique multi-screen promotional sponsorships tied to Philadelphia’s biggest events.
  • Drive New Business Growth by developing and implementing sales strategies to consistently grow revenue and exceed goals, leveraging the massive reach of our local news and elite sports blocks.
  • Cultivate Client Relationships by meeting and communicating regularly with local business owners and agencies to maintain strong partnerships and expedite the closing process.
  • Lead the Sales Process by presenting, negotiating, and developing unique advertising packages that capitalize on our hyper-local, “Authentically Philly” identity.
  • Manage Accounts efficiently, including processing transactional business, developing advertising schedules with station personnel, and ensuring the timely completion of all administrative tasks.
  • Maintain Professional Communication with station and corporate management to ensure seamless execution of multi-platform campaigns.
