About The Position

Grand Canyon Education (GCE) is an educational service company that supports Grand Canyon University (GCU). They are seeking a motivated Account Executive to manage healthcare facilities, hospitals, and behavioral health centers within the Long Island, NY territory. This community-based role focuses on outside business development, consultative sales, and account management. The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying and executing event/activity plans, raising awareness of online academic programs, generating inquiries, fostering high-impact partnerships, and providing comprehensive counseling to prospective students and their families. The position involves guiding students through the admissions process and ensuring their successful transition into online learning experiences.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • No delinquent or in default on a federal student loan (if in a rehabilitation program, your credit report must reflect that you are current, not delinquent, on your payments)
  • Outstanding time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities even while travelling
  • Clear communication skills (in person, in writing and on the phone)
  • Well developed listening skills
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed
  • High emotional intelligence
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy
  • A valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • A flexible schedule (some events might require evening and/or weekend availability)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to use your personal vehicle for extensive travel in your territory
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3+ years demonstrated success in outside business development, consultative sales or account management
