About The Position

As the Account Executive, you will have the opportunity to strengthen relationships with BBB’s Accredited Businesses (ABs) by introducing ABs to BBB services and products designed to promote their businesses through digital outlets and other marketing/co-branding opportunities. You will be responsible for driving revenue by providing digital marketing services and advertising products to both our new and existing Accredited Businesses (ABs). Requirements

  • Minimum of one to three years of B2B digital advertising and sales experience.
  • Hunter mentality: unafraid to pick up the phone and make calls to build relationships to meet sales goals.
  • This is an inside sales role; candidate must be comfortable sharing presentations via phone and communicating confidently with existing accredited businesses.
  • Possess a growth mindset - look for how you can improve and how the BBB can best help ABs improve and grow.
  • Demonstration of strong product knowledge and commitment to high ethical standards governing professional behavior and interactions.
  • Strong active listening skills with an ability to identify a prospect’s needs, propose solutions, and close sales.
  • Adaptability and commitment to maintaining a presence within the organization, collaboration with colleagues, and communication.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to make professional presentations in person or on the telephone.
  • Prior experience working with a CRM or database environment preferred.
  • Strong time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to the public.
  • Collaborative and eager to learn, bringing new ideas to the group.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet search tools.
  • A valid driver’s license and proven safe record.
  • Occasionally work beyond regular office hours, due to deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with generative AI tools preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new advertising business with ABs, upsell existing accounts, and retain advertising spending while increasing AB satisfaction.
  • Sell digital advertising, billboards, and other opportunities to AB's.
  • Act as an account manager, maintain professional relationships and provide excellent customer service from the point of sale and every touchpoint thereafter.
  • Work with business owners to strategize advertising plans and leverage their BBB accreditation to drive sales.
  • Maintain all aspects of internal controls for your AB clients to ensure BBB abides by its commitments to ABs.
  • Contribute to team efforts to accomplish organizational goals as it relates to growing and retaining the AB client base.
  • Participate in events such as Business Trade shows and other BBB-sponsored events.
