About The Position

FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas. These stations distribute sports, entertainment, and syndicated content, and collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week, leveraging viewer, distributor, and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content. The Account Executive role at WAGA – FOX 5 Atlanta is for a driven, results-oriented sales professional and skillful relationship-builder who thrives on client interaction, forging long-term relationships, and helping local businesses grow. The position offers career stability within a successful, well-known industry leader. FOX 5 Atlanta dominates the Atlanta, GA television market by broadcasting the highest volume of local news and provides sophisticated, best-in-class Digital offerings as comprehensive marketing solutions. The FOX 5 Sales Team seeks an experienced Account Executive to generate digital and broadcast advertising revenue for Atlanta’s top local television station.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Video Advertising Business Development and Sales.
  • Digital ad sales savvy with a proven track record of developing new business and achieving measurable success in the digital space.
  • A skilled negotiator and motivator capable of managing complex deals and driving accounts from lead to close.
  • Possesses excellent organizational, time management, written & verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with computers and cloud-based communication applications.
  • Ability to accurately forecast revenue based on pipelines and pending deals.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain reliable transportation and have a valid, local driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Experience with WideOrbit is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Revenue by selling a suite of cutting-edge digital advertising solutions across our key brands, including FLX, FOX Local, TUBI, FOX Sports, and FOXNEWS.com, as well as unique multi-screen promotional sponsorships.
  • Drive Business Growth by developing and implementing sales strategies (independently and with sales management) to consistently grow revenue and exceed sales goals.
  • Cultivate Client Relationships by meeting and communicating regularly with clients and agencies to maintain strong partnerships and expedite the closing process.
  • Lead the Sales Process by presenting, negotiating, and developing unique and valuable advertising packages to new and existing clients.
  • Manage Accounts efficiently, including processing transactional business, developing advertising schedules with station personnel, and ensuring the timely completion of all administrative tasks.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with station and corporate management, sales staff, and internal station personnel.
  • Participate in sales training and meetings to stay current on product offerings, market trends, and other key information.
