About The Position

We are seeking an experienced, licensed Property & Casualty Insurance Executive to manage, grow, and optimize a specialized book of business for elevator contractors. This role requires deep technical expertise across all P&C lines, strong agency or carrier-side experience, and the ability to navigate the complex risk profiles inherent in the elevator industry. You will oversee underwriting strategies, client relationships, program profitability, compliance, and long-term account retention. This is a position ideal for someone who excels in niche markets and enjoys building a best-in-class specialty program.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
  • 5+ years of P&C insurance experience; specialty program or contractor-focused experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven background handling commercial accounts with diverse coverage lines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage high-volume of accounts.
  • Experience with agency management systems (AIM & ImageRight) and carrier platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with elevator industry exposures, mechanical trades, or vertical transportation contractors is a major plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand a dedicated book of P&C business focused on elevator contractors.
  • Oversee underwriting, risk assessment, and coverage placement across all lines (mostly GL, WC, Property, Inland Marine, Excess/Umbrella, etc.).
  • Provide expert day to day consultation to both broker and insured clients on coverage needs and industry regulations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key carriers, brokers, and industry partners to deliver competitive and comprehensive program offerings.
  • Analyze renewals, claims trends, pricing strategies, and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and carrier guidelines.
  • Lead client renewal and new business negotiations with either sub-brokers or direct insureds.
  • Identify growth account rounding opportunities and contribute to new business initiatives.
