About The Position

Summary Responsible for the successful marketing (sales, renewals, and/or service) of group and/or individual accounts for products as defined by production quotas within assigned territory. Customarily and regularly engaged in outside sales. Description Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime. You may be required to travel between buildings. This role is located in our Greenville, South Carolina location. What You Will Do: Develops and executes marketing plans for new sales and/or retention of existing accounts within assigned territory. Prepares and presents proposals and communications to groups, agents, and/or individuals. Develops and maintains professional relationships with groups, agents, and/or individuals. Assesses agency, agent, group, and/or individual sales opportunities and works with groups, agent, and/or individuals to resolve problem issues. Conducts on-going market research and provides key information that may lead to sales. Prepares and submits required marketing reports to management detailing how best to position company products. Maintains product/industry knowledge and marketing skills by attending trading seminars, continuing education classes, conferences, etc.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-year sales and marketing.
  • Ability to develop/maintain effective relationships with groups, agents, and potential customers.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles, techniques, and the marketplace.
  • Effective presentation and customer service skills.
  • Analytical or critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others.
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Department of Insurance Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years customer service, provider network.
  • Knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, or other spreadsheet/database software.
