About The Position

The Account Executive is a key member of our sales team, responsible for managing a variety of customer accounts. This role focuses on driving results through outbound calling and upselling to existing and cold customers, participating in team meetings, occasional travel, and effectively using the CRM to track progress. While quoting and order management may be part of the responsibilities, the primary focus is on achieving sales KPIs, fostering customer relationships, and identifying growth opportunities. The pay range for this role is fixed at $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. This role is also eligible for a year-end performance bonus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of sales or account management experience required.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service, phone, and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and a commitment to teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fasteners, hardware distribution, or similar industries is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools or additional sales certifications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer accounts, ensuring satisfaction and addressing needs promptly.
  • Conduct both warm and cold calls to generate leads, build relationships, and maintain customer engagement.
  • Assist other sales team members with their customers as needed.
  • Handle quoting, follow up on order statuses, and track outstanding quotes to uncover additional customer needs.
  • Conduct discovery to identify new opportunities, expand market reach, and upsell additional services such as kitting and labeling.
  • Respond to product inquiries and process RFQs generated through the company website, marketing campaigns, or other channels.
  • Confirm and process orders received through phone, email, or other communication methods as needed.
  • Manage the sales process by tracking open orders, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Build a pipeline by prospecting for new opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the product catalog and leverage it to provide tailored customer solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including the sales team, warehouse, and operations, to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
