About The Position

BBI is seeking competitive, confident, and passionate individuals to join their growing team as an Account Executive. This role focuses on the fast-paced brokerage aspect of the business, where the individual will be responsible for creating and managing their own book of business through continuous communication with carriers and customers. BBI Logistics offers various transportation solutions including drayage, truckload, intermodal, LTL, expedited, purchase order consolidation, route optimization, cold storage, expedited delivery, and natural disaster response, and is a rapidly growing company becoming a premier transportation provider nationwide.

Requirements

• Confidence and strong self-assuredness to succeed in cold-calling customers and making a sale
• Mental endurance (ability to be on the phone for long hours, hear rejection, and continue to push through)
• Willingness to go the extra mile to work after normal business hours and weekends
• Entrepreneurial and competitive spirit (if you’re not first, you’re last)
• Strong ability to sell and negotiate with confidence and a winning attitude
• Maintain composure in high-stress scenarios
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to recognize and prioritize profitable opportunities

Responsibilities

• Creatively self-generate leads and qualify prospects
• Execute 80+ cold calls per day to build relationships with prospects and existing customers
• Stay up to date on industry trends to provide and negotiate freight costs to customers and carriers
• Manage freight movement and problem solve in real time by utilizing our proprietary TMS software
• Proactively communicate when resolving issues and provide updates to customers and carriers
